THE EASIEST CAULIFLOWER PIZZA CRUST EVERRRRRRRR
Sandy Tocci
Are you looking for a lower-carb pizza crust without sacrificing the taste?!?!! Well HERE YA GO! It may take a couple times for you to perfect the recipe or shape or cooking times {this was my 5th time making this style pizzza} BUT its SO worth it. You get to INDULGE without feeling completely guilty! Of course it doesn't fully replace an AMAZING pizza but it'll do the trick. Try it out, share it and let me know what you think. ENJOY and bon appetit!
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 bags Trader Joes Cauliflower Rice
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup whole wheat bread crumbs
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, dump the FROZEN (does not need to be defrosted) cauliflower in and cook in microwave for 3-4 minutes or until soft. {does not need to be fully cooked}
- Remove and dump onto two paper towels; top with two additional paper towels and SQUEEZE as much water out as you can. {If you have a cheese cloth, you can use that too. The idea is to remove as much water as you can.}
- Dump back into large bowl.
- Add in egg white, cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Mix lightly until well blended.
- Dump onto baking sheet and form into a circle or square or heart or whatever you feel like forming. DO NOT MAKE TOO THIN! The crust should be about ¼ inch THICK all the way around. Be sure to pack the cauliflower mixture together firmly and evenly, leaving no thin spots where the crust may crack.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the top is dry and golden, then carefully flip the crust over and bake for another ı0 minutes. Use immediately as a pizza crust or allow the flatbread to cool and slice it to use as sandwich bread.
- To complete the pizza, add your favorite sauce and toppings and then bake for another ı0 minutes at 400ºF, until the topping are heated thoroughly. Slice and serve hot.
ENJOY! :-)
